Job Title : Medical Coder
Location : NIH Clinical Center
Key Responsibilities :

• Assign appropriate codes using ICD-10-CM , ICD-10-PCS , CPT-4 , and HCPCS for various patient encounters.
• Ensure coding accuracy for inpatient, outpatient, ambulatory surgery, and day hospital services.
• Follow NIH-specific coding guidelines, including documentation for rare diseases.
• Meet productivity metrics and maintain a high standard of coding accuracy.

Qualifications :

• Certification from AHIMA or AAPC (e.g., CCS, CPC, CCS-H).
• 2+ years of experience in medical coding.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and coding standards.
• Familiarity with coding software, such as 3M™ 360 Encompass .
