Job Description

Position Overview The Support Technician is responsible for the support and maintenance of software and hardware aspects of various systems implemented on-site. Qualifications and Physical/Mental Requirements:

  • Prior experience in hospitality systems support is highly desirable.
  • Work is performed indoors with moderate temperatures controlled by the hotel environmental systems. Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to four hours at a time.
  • Degree or Certification in I.T. related study is highly desirable.
  • The ability to follow payroll and key sign out procedures.
  • The ability to offer any assistance possible to guests.
  • The ability to respond properly to any hotel emergency or safety situation.
  • The ability to perform other tasks or projects as assigned by hotel management and staff.
  • Comply with TIHTC work rules and standards per the associate handbook and as directed by management.
  • Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and management

Position Responsibilities:
  • Assist Director of IT with system support and maintenance plans to ensure server backups are performed, tested and maintained.
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently against a list of performance and quality standards.
  • Minimum of two years experience with system support related position.
  • Must be knowledgeable with hotel related systems and computer literate.
  • Perform quarterly software and hardware audits to confirm licensing and security conformity.
  • Review and assist with helpdesk ticket resolution.
  • Prepare system reports on a weekly/monthly/as-needed basis.
  • Monitor and maintain network equipment and security.
  • Assist with vendor support and software upgrades/troubleshooting.
  • Provide end-user support for terminal related issues.
  • Assist in maintaining user accounts and system security groups.
  • Assist with various systems update/support/closing procedures.
  • Assist the Director of IT. in any other duties as needed. Perform other special projects as assigned.
