Job Description POSITION SUMMARY We are seeking a motivated and experienced Business Development Manager specializing in Industrial Refrigeration to join our team. In this role, you will drive the growth and expansion of our industrial refrigeration services, focusing on preventive maintenance programs, service repairs, and projects. Your goal will be to build strong client relationships, identify new business opportunities, and enhance our market presence.
What you'll do: - Preventive Maintenance Programs (PMs): Focus on increasing the number of PM programs, and providing customers with essential equipment and system services to minimize business disruptions.
- Service Repairs and Projects: Respond to customer calls and solicit routine service and repair projects, including compressor rebuilds, equipment/system repair services, vibration and oil analysis services, and control system upgrades.
- CRM Utilization: Use Coins CRM software in a disciplined manner to enable company-wide visibility of sales performance.
- Customer Visits: Develop a customer visit schedule and meet with existing customers regularly, coordinating with the service schedule to be on-site during PM visits.
- Target Customers: Assist in developing a list of target service accounts to attract new customers.
- Parts Sales: Promote the selling of parts to customers with their own repair capabilities.
- Problem Resolution: Assist the service coordinator and service manager in resolving service customer problems or issues, ensuring a unified mission and direction within the
Travel Requirements : 50% or more
What you'll need to be successful: - Industry Experience: Minimum of 5 years working as a service technician or service salesperson in the HVAC/R or Industrial Refrigeration industry. Education from an HVAC/R or Industrial refrigeration trade school is a plus.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong technical and mechanical knowledge of industrial or commercial refrigeration systems, including ammonia, freon, or CO2 systems.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify client refrigeration issues and convert them into sales opportunities.
- Relationship Building: Ability to build and maintain business relationships with clients.
- Time Management: Excellent time management and multitasking skills, with the ability to complete work while traveling.
- Territory Knowledge: Thorough knowledge of territory, market, and clients.
- Software Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software applications.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Detail-Oriented: High level of accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Team Collaboration: Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
