Job Description Company Overview: Sunshine Residential Homes is a reputable healthcare company specializing in providing services to over 25 adult group homes and day programs. We are dedicated to enhancing the lives of our clients by offering a supportive and caring environment.
We are looking for an administrator who has a pivotal role within our Adult Residential Facility, primarily focusing on ensuring and maintaining regulatory compliance as mandated by licensing authorities and Regional Centers. This role encompasses the responsibility for the health, well-being, and safety of clients. It involves maintaining regular communication with conservators, family members, service coordinators, and other external agency representatives. The Administrator is tasked with managing staffing, labor hours, and overseeing the facility's day-to-day operations, ensuring the highest quality of care and support is provided to clients. Additionally, this role involves training and mentoring direct support professional staff, with a strong emphasis on regulatory knowledge, particularly Title 17 and 22.
Key Responsibilities: Client Advocacy and Communication: Maintain transparent and consistent communication with conservators, families, and client representatives/advocates to discuss client health, well-being, and quality of life. Ensure a deep understanding and application of Title 17 and 22 regulations.
Staffing and Human Resource Management: Oversee staffing, including recruitment, training, and scheduling, to ensure adequate supervision and support for clients. Delegate tasks effectively to meet client needs and home requirements.
Operational Management: Manage daily business operations including client documentation, medication audits, funds disbursement and audits, physical plant inspections, and maintenance of client and staff files.
Performance Management : Conduct timecard reviews and amendments, perform annual performance evaluations, and provide staff feedback through statement of discussions.
Training and Development: Attend training sessions as required by Regional Centers and ensure staff are adequately trained in quality care assurance.
Safety and Compliance: Maintain safety standards to prevent staff and client injuries. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
Resident Care: Manage resident care by scheduling medical appointments, following up on medical recommendations, and monitoring the overall medical condition of residents.
Emergency Response: Act as a first responder to emergencies and report special incidents in accordance with laws and regulations. Maintain a 24-hour on-call response capability.
Miscellaneous Duties: Perform other related duties and assignments as required.
Requirements Education / Experience Requirement: Adult Residential Facility (ARF) Certification (optional)
Direct Support Professional (DSP) I and II certificates.
CPR/First Aid (CPR/FA) and Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification.
Minimum Experience: 3 years of experience working with clients with developmental disabilities in a Level 4I or higher home.
2 years of minimum supervisory experience.
Work Environment: On-site role; remote work is not available.
